Plot : Directed by Tyler Perry, For Colored Girls is an incredible drama. The movie is adopted from a fantastic play, “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf”, by Ntozake Shange. The movie revolves around the lives of nine women and provides viewers a glimpse of the struggle they make to live a peaceful life. For Colored Girls video illustrates how the women of color have to strive hard to acquire their rights and secure a place for themselves in society. The movie has a different theme and depicts the theme of color differentiation in a unique way. While translating the content of play into movie, it retains the original poetic style of play but instill life in it with stellar performance of stars. Nine-African Women are portrayed in the movie and seven out of them are only identified with their color. For example, the women are referred to as “lady in red’, ‘lady in yellow’ etc. Each and every character of the movie is supposed to deal with a conflict prevailing in personal life and those conflicts revolves around issues like love, rape, abortion, betrayal, abandonment etc.
